VIS Cemented Positve Achromatic Doublet


1. Pos. Achr. lens has positive focal length.
2. These lens converges light to form real images.
3. Suitable for sharp imaging applications where reduced spherical       and minimal chromatic shift is necessary.
4. Consists of a crown lens cemented with a flint lens.

Application Notes

  1. VCP-AC for Beam Focusing :                                                                                                                                                             VCP-AC is used with collimated beam to converge it on other side. Placing surface with larger radius of curvature opposite of collimated beam is preffered for ideal performance.
  2. VCP-AC Achromatism :                                                                                                                                                                       Compared to a singlet positive lens, these VCP-AC lens will perform best under a singlet's monochromatic wavelength as well as in achromatic conditions, and a near common focus is achieved in VIS region.
  3. Diffraction limited performance :                                                                                                                                                      2 element optimized design ensures minimum spherical and chromatic on axis aberrations ensuring diffraction limited spot size.
  4. Applications :                                                                                                                                                                                        When image quality is critical like in photography, video-recording, endoscopy, etc, positive doublets are preferred over singlets.
