UV Fused Silica Double Concave Lens

  1. Double-concave lens has negative focal length.
  2. DCV lens diverges light to form virtual images.
  3. Suitable for image reduction within finite conjugates.
  4. UV fused silica offers high transmission in UV region.
  5. UV fused silica exhibits low laser-induced fluorescence.
  6. Fused silica has high bulk damage threshold and lower thermal coefficient compared to N-BK7.

Application Notes

  1. DCV for Beam Diversion :                                                                                                                                                            DCV is used with high power collimated beam to diverge it on other side.  
  2. DCV in an Optical System :                                                                                                                                                          DCV lens when placed in an optical system, increase the focal length of the system with additional benefits of offsetting Spherical Aberrations caused by other lenses within the system.
  3. DCV in Scanners :                                                                                                                                                                        DCV is used for scanning in medical equipment and CD/DVD players, where laser beam is diverged to sharply access a specific area; with UV grade fused silica you can employ it in Deep UV applications. 
  4. DCV in Imaging :                                                                                                                                                                           DCV is used when the object and image are at absolute conjugate ratios closer to 1:1 with a converging input beam.
