Application Notes
- Positive Meniscus for Imaging : When a positive meniscus lens is combined with another lens, the focal length is shortened and the numerical aperture of the system is increased, this reduces the image distortion and increases image resolution.
- Positive Meniscus for Beam Focusing : Positive meniscus lens exhibit minimal spherical aberrations and reduced spot sizes when focusing a (infinite conjugate) collimated beam, with convex side facing collimated beam.
- Positive Meniscus uses : Positive meniscus lens are used as single or in multi-elemental camera Lens, beam-expander intermediate Lens and wherever focal Length decrement with NA increment is needed.
